Candace Scalese

Candace Scalese anchors CBS 21 News This Morning 5-7a.m. and CBS21 News at Noon.

Previously, Candace spent four years as a Primary Morning Anchor at WACH FOX News in Columbia, SC. While there, she served as a special projects anchor, field anchor, Jefferson Awards reporter, and investigative reporter.

Prior to that, Candace served as an anchor and reporter in Mobile, AL. She was a lead reporter who uncovered public corruption and cultivated a network of sources to generate daily exclusive reports. She also dabbled in sports reporting covering several SEC Championship games and a BCS National Championship Title Game.

Candace was born and raised in Marietta, GA . She attended the University of Alabama where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She performed with the Million Dollar Band Colorguard and takes advantage of every opportunity to dance. It’s when she says she “feels most alive”.

Candace loves being active. She’s part of a local CrossFit gym, enjoys kayaking, biking, and hiking, and is an advocate for healthy eating.

Harrisburg is a homecoming for Candace’s husband Michael, who grew up in Mechanicsburg and Camp Hill. The two are living on the West Shore but venture over to the East Shore to enjoy everything it has to offer.

Candace loves to be among people, emcee events, judge local competitions and spend time getting to know people on a personal level.
