Manheim Central gets a touch of gold thanks to Dan Kreider

CBS 21

Another day, another gold football in central Pennsylvania.

Dan Kreider has signed a ball in his honor, courtesy of Wilson and the NFL, which is now housed at Manheim Central.

"Hopefully it inspires somebody to say if a farm kid from Mount Joy, Manheim or whatever can go and play football and play in the NFL, whatever the desires in my heart are, I can be successful as well if I stick to it," Kreider said.

Kreider's children showed up to the event at Manheim Central wearing, of course, his Pittsburgh Steelers jersey.

Gold ball honors have also been bestowed around the area at Cedar Cliff, Cedar Crest and Mifflin County, all of which have produced Super Bowl players.
