Steelers trade Martavis Bryant to Oakland for third round pick
PITTSBURGH - The Pittsburgh Steelers have traded wide receiver Martavis Bryant to the Oakland Raiders Thursday night.
In return, the Steelers received the Raiders third round pick, number 79 overall.
The trade comes after a contentious season in the Steel City for Bryant, who in mid-season announced his frustration his lack of involvement in the offense.
Bryant was also deactivated for one game after venting his frustration and saw his targets go to rookie Ju Ju Smith-Schuster.
Bryant was also suspended for the entire 2016 season after violating the NFL's substance abuse property.
He was the 2014 fourth round pick of the Steelers and had 126 catches for 1,917 yards and 17 touchdowns during his time in Pittsburgh.
