WASHINGTON (TND) — The IRS whistleblower says the agency removed his entire investigative team in the Hunter Biden investigation as retaliation.
Washington Insider Armstrong Williams joined The National Desk’s Jan Jeffcoat on Monday to discuss the story.
“This is the narrative that this administration wants in the press. When you remove the entire investigative team you have to start from scratch, you have to get together with a team report and figure out what the information is,” he said. “This administration has made a decision with the Justice Department that Hunter Biden will be charged if anything when taxes and it will be a slap on the wrist. No matter what happens the President will barn his son.”
Federal prosecutors have spent years investigating Hunter Biden and have weighed bringing charges against him for three alleged tax crimes and a charge related to a gun purchase.
“We need not remind the listeners that Hunter Biden is the son of the President of the United States and the President of the United States has made an emotional decision, not a decision whether someone is above the law that his son is going to protect him even in his criminal activities,” Williams said. “He's got to protect them until the bitter end and that's the decision he made as a father. This investigation is going nowhere. They removed the whistleblower and this is the narrative that they're putting out there talking about everything about Excel is criminal activity.”
