York Polar Bears face off against USA Warriors for benefit hockey game

The York Polar Bears, a local special needs hockey team, took on the USA Warriors, a team comprised of veterans injured during their service, at the York City Ice Arena on Saturday.

The benefit game goes toward two organizations: Wings and Jessica and Friends.

Both are groups dedicated to assisting and caring for those with disabilites and special needs.

"Jessica and Friends, they are individuals who have hurdles just like our children, and we want to teach them to give back to others," said Richard Garrison , CEO and co-founder of the York Polar Bears.

There was also a second game, between two sled hockey teams.
