2-3 inches total accumulation wrapping up mid/late morning on Sunday.
Winds continue to be the big weather story. NW Winds 20-30 mph with gusts to 40 mph. That means wind chills remaining stuck in the Teens and Single Digits!
Get ready for a Winter storm for the 2nd half of Saturday into Sunday that will bring some light snow. As a result, Saturday and Sunday are CBS 21 Weather Watch Days as we keep you out ahead of this wintry weather.
Expect light snow to begin Saturday during the late afternoon and continue into Sunday morning. At this point we can expect about 1-2" of snow in and around the Harrisburg region with areas south of Route 30 picking up 2-4". While not a big storm, it will still be enough to make for slick travel both Saturday night and early Sunday so plan your weekend accordingly!
The set up from this storm does not favor big snow as it is advancing in from the Southwest, that's why we do see the higher end of our snow totals coming along the PA/MD line. Our big snow storms are usually set up to our East and along the Atlantic Coast... commonly known as "Nor'Easters".
We will continue to analyze the incoming forecast data and keep you updated with any and all changes both on air, online and through all of our social media platforms.
In the meantime, bundle up for another blustery winter day to end the week!
