U.S. Marshals arrest York homicide suspect in New Jersey

U.S. Marshals announced that they arrested a suspect involved in a fatal October shooting in York.

Myannh Legette, 21, was wanted by detectives for criminal homicide, robbery and lesser offenses.

Attempts to find Legette in York were unsuccessful and the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force was asked to apprehend him.

Deputy Marshals learned that Legette fled to New Jersey, and at 6 a.m. Friday morning the Task Force apprehended him on the first block of Hudson Street in Trenton.

Legette was taken into custody without incident and turned over to Mercer County officials pending extradition to Pennsylvania.

United States Marshal Pane stated, “Along with our law enforcement partners, it’s the Marshals Service’s duty to ensure that those charged with serious crimes have their day in court. It is my sincere hope that the victim’s family will find some measure of comfort knowing the suspect will face justice.”
