Shippensburg High School start delayed due to lightning strike

On Saturday night, the Shippensburg High School was hit by a lightning strike, which affected the electricity within the building.

For this reason, the start date for high school students has been delayed to Monday, August 21. Students attending the Career Tech School will also begin on August 21.

All other buildings will open on time, Thursday August 17th.

There will be no 9th Grade Orientation or Open House on August 15th. These two events have been re- scheduled to August 17th.

The 9th Grade Orientation will be at 6:00 pm in the High School Auditorium and the Open House will begin at 6:30pm in the High School Auditorium.

Students will be notified of their bus assignments via an automated phone call on Monday, August 14th.
