Scattered showers throughout the day, risk of severe weather tomorrow
Wet Weekend Ahead
- Today: Cloudy and cool for a summer day with rain showers – High 73
- Tonight: Showers likely, cloudy – Low 61
- Saturday: Cloudy with rain showers, possible afternoon thunderstorm – High 77
- Sunday: Partly sunny, scattered showers, possible afternoon thunderstorm - High 83
The clouds and rain combined with easterly flow will give us a cool day for summer… temperatures about ten degrees below normal. We’ll have scattered showers throughout the day. Could hear a rumble of thunder later but not expecting anything severe.
NEXT WEATHER MAKER
As we sit north of a warm front we’re in for a wet, unsettled weekend. The SPC has put most of us in a marginal risk for severe weather tomorrow – meaning isolated severe thunderstorms are possible. Will keep an eye out for any flash flood watches but at this point not expecting. A cold front comes through on Sunday. Also think we will see periods of sun on Sunday. But with the cold front comes passing showers and afternoon thunderstorms are possible.
We’ll get back to sun and summer early next week as high pressure settles in. Looking at a drier beginning to the week.
