Salvation Army needs donations for flood relief
The Salvation Army's Emergency Disaster Services is helping areas in Pennsylvania affected by the recent flooding, but could use some donations.
Members of EDS went to Schuylkill County Monday and Tuesday supplying food and drinks in Gilberton.
Officials say 100 clean-up kits were also given out in Frackville to damaged homes.
They also served more than 650 meals and 220 gallons of water in the past three days.
The organization is accepting donations in-kind donations for locally impacted residents. They're requesting cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, paper towels and new or gently used bedding and bath towels.
Donations can be dropped off at The Salvation Army Hamburg Family Store & Service Center, 700 S. Fourth Street #C, from now through Aug. 18.
