River Rescue holds BBQ fundraiser with Keystone Aquatic Club
The Harrisburg River Rescue hosted a chicken BBQ Saturday morning, in conjunction with the Keystone Aquatic Club.
Folks came out to the City Island Marina to support water safety.
The fundraiser was held to raise money for basic tools and training for the River Rescue.
"It helps with our operational costs," said Tony Reigle, assistant chief of Harrisburg River Rescue. "For Harrisburg River Rescue, it helps offset costs for doing our mission, our training, our equipment, and things like that as well."
The Keystone Aquatic Club, which helped host the BBQ, is responsible for putting up buoys in rivers.
The buoys are important because they help keep people from going over the dam.
