PSP: Teacher sent sexual messages to former student

Police have charged a Big Spring School District teacher after discovering he sent inappropriate messages to a former student via social media.

State police were first contacted by the school district on October 19, 2017. An investigation determined that 28-year-old Johnathan Hocker, of New Cumberland, Pa., was communicating with a female student while she was between the ages of 15 and 17.

The victim described the communication to be innocent, but it escalated to being more sexual in nature, according to police.

Police say Hocker provided the victim with his Tumblr username and suggested she look at his page. When troopers reviewed the content on the site, they discovered graphic sexual images and videos depicting various sexual acts, bondage, choking, and role play.

According to police, Hocker was charged after a analysis of his work laptop and the victim's cell phone.

He was charged with unlawful contact with a minor, obscene and other sexual materials, and corruption of minors.
