PSP, coroner investigating male body found in Juniata River
PERRY COUNTY, Pa. —
Pennsylvania State Police in Newport say they're investigating after a body was found floating in the Juniata River in Perry County.
According to PSP, a couple fishing near the Pittman Camp Ground in Greenwood Township contacted troopers on Dec. 2 after spotting the body around 12:15 p.m.
The male body was unable to be identified due to decomposition.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 5.
The Perry County Coroner's Officer is also handling the death investigation.
The Newport Fire Department, River Rescue, and Millerstown EMS assisted PSP and the coroner's office.
