Police: Suspicious male in a white van showed knife to juveniles

Northern Lancaster County Regional Police are attempting to identify the man and vehicle involved in an encounter with a group of juveniles.

According to police, the group was approached by a man in a white van, similar to the one pictured above, around 8:30 am at the intersection of Icehouse Hill Road and Mockingbird Circle in Clay Township.

The van may have had a ladder on the top and a dent in the passenger side door.

The suspicious male was described as having a bald head, tan skin, and may have been wearing a tie-dye bandanna with smiley faces on it, according to police. He was described as wearing a grey t-shirt.

The male may have a grey-haired mustache, but some witnesses told police he did not have a mustache.

According to police, the male allegedly showed a knife to the juveniles. He said nothing to the witnesses and drove away as one juvenile was trying to alert a nearby adult, who did not see the encounter, police say.

Anyone with information on the suspicious male or vehicle described in this incident is asked to contact Officer Alexandria Parisi at (717) 733-0965 or submit an anonymous tip.
