Police: Man was targeted in York City shooting

York City Police say they believe that the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning was targeted in the incident.

Police say 31-year-old Kyle Otto of York was shot and killed at approximately 3:29 a.m. in the 500 block of Smith Street on July 20, 2019.

Authorities say that Otto was targeted in the shooting and they are investigating the case as a homicide.

Police say that the homicide Group Violence Initiative related because the suspects that are believed to be involved belong to violent groups within the city.

Authorities say they have developed leads in the case, but do not yet have enough information to formally identify any suspects.

No arrests have been made at this time.

An autopsy for Otto has been scheduled for Monday morning.
