Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg are investigating a triple homicide in Franklin County.

Police responded to Welsh Run Road in Montgomery Township for a report of gunfire in the area at 11:24 Saturday night.

When troopers arrived on scene, they found Wendy Chaney, 39, of Hagerstown, Maryland, and a Brandon Cole, 47, of Fayetteville, both dead from a gunshot wound.

Troopers found them inside a barn.

Phillip Jackson, 36, of Greencastle, was severely injured from a gunshot wound. He was flown to York Hospital for treatment.

Jackson later died from his injuries.

A search warrant states one of the victim's brothers reported to state police his brother was "tied up and bleeding" at the residence on Welsh Run Road. The other victims are also listed in the warrant as being "bound and deceased."

Jackson lived with his wife and two children on the property with the barn, according to his neighbors.

Police say they do not have a suspect at this time. There is an unknown motive.

Documents reveal, however, there was a 2014 Toyota Corolla at the scene with Maryland registration 1BK7861. The vehicle was driven around the barn and crashed into a split rail fence.

There was also a fire at the residence.

Neighbors say they feel uneasy knowing there's no suspect yet in a crime that is uncommon for this area.

State police are continuing to investigate.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call PSP Chambersburg at 717-264-5161.
