Several medical marijuana dispensaries are opening in the coming days and weeks across PA after recently getting the green light from the state.

A total of eight dispensaries have been approved to start operations here in the commonwealth.

In order for patients to start receiving medical marijuana, there are a few steps they need to take.

First, patients have to create a profile online.

Next, patients need to have a physician’s certification saying they suffer from one of 17 medical conditions.

These conditions include autism, cancer, and post-traumatic stress disorder, among others.

Once you get the certification you need to pay for a medical marijuana I-D card.

Pennsylvania also allows caregivers to apply for medical marijuana cards. That process includes a criminal background check in addition to the steps patients have to follow.

When those steps are followed and approved, patients can get medical marijuana from an approved dispensary in PA.
