Owen's Foundation receives donation in support of ending distracted driving
HARRISBURG, Pa. —
A local charity has received a hefty donation to help push the message of ending distracted driving among teens.
Owen's Foundation received a $5,000 check from the National Foundation for Teen Safe Driving Monday morning at Faulkner Hyundai in Harrisburg.
This Valentine's Day, the foundation sent creative e-messages as part of the Love Drives Me campaign to end distracted driving.
Owen Brazitski was only 8 years old when he was killed in 2011 by a 17-year-old distracted driver.
The foundation looks to raise awareness and educate people about risky driving techniques.
