Police identify 23-year-old Carlisle shooting victim

Police have identified the male victim killed after a shooting on E. Penn St. in Carlisle.

According to Sgt. Miller with the Carlisle Police Department, 23-year-old Michael Burch was shot and killed Thursday afternoon.

Police are looking for two suspects, described as black males.

At this time police believe the shooting was targeted, according to Miller.

According to police, witnesses said they saw the two suspects drive from the scene in a maroon Chevy Equinox.

The vehicle was recovered by police about a block away from the scene, near Lincoln Avenue, according to Miller.

He also said the car was a rental.

Sgt. Miller confirmed that multiple shots were fired during the incident, but did not specify how many shots hit the victim.

An investigation is ongoing as police continue to pursue any and all leads.
