HERSHEY, Pa. — A middle school student at the Milton Hershey school passed away earlier this week, a statement from the school confirms.
Daron Godbee had been a student with Milton Hershey since elementary school, and was active in sports and music.
He was a member of the cross country and swim teams, and participated in concert band and choir, according to the statement.
The school says Daron's organs were donated, per his family's wishes.

We are devastated over the death of a beloved member of the Milton Hershey School community. Daron Godbee was one of our middle school students and had been a part of our school community since elementary school. He was active in campus life, especially in sports and music, participating on the cross country and swim teams, as well as concert band and choir. Daron’s kind and giving spirit will live on through the lives of others, as he gives the Gift of Life through organ donation, per his family’s wishes. He will be deeply missed by friends, teachers, houseparents, coaches, and all who knew him.
MHS is providing comprehensive psychological and counseling services to students, faculty, and staff. The thoughts and prayers of the entire school community are with Daron’s family at this time.
