Police: Man was under the influence w/ toddler in car when he crashed into telephone poles

A Lititz man has been charged with driving under the influence after police stopped him in Manheim Borough.
On February 1, 2018, police received reports of a man driving erratically near Doe Run Road in Penn Township.
Police stopped Brent Eberly, 44, after he struck at least four telephone poles, two road signs, sheared off a guide wire to a pole and almost struck 4 to 5 other vehicles. Eberly also almost struck a Manheim Borough police vehicle.
After her was stopped, police determined Eberly was under the influence of a controlled substance. They also discovered his three-year-old daughter was in the car.
No injuries were reported after the incident.
After being taken to a local hospital for evaluation, Eberly was transported to Northern Lancaster County Regional Police headquarters.
In addition to the DUI charge, Eberly was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child, feeling or attempting to allude police, recklessly endangering another person, reckless driving, and seven counts of accidents involving damage to unattended vehicles or property.
He is currently held at the Lancaster County Prison on $25,000 bail.
