Man arrested after high speed chase, officers looking for witness


Pennsylvania State Police are looking for a person who may have witnessed a high speed chase in Jackson Township early Friday morning.

Just before 1 a.m., State Police began following a vehicle traveling north on SR645. The driver was 52-year-old Michael Richard Brown.

At that time, Brown accelerated and a high speed chase ensued.

The pursuit continued through West Jackson Avenue, during which Brown committed multiple traffic offenses including failure to stop at seven stop signs.

Brown was also driving 88 miles per hour in a 15 miles per hour zone.

Officers say during the pursuit, Brown passed a someone in another vehicle on SR645 and Cricket Lane. They're now trying to identify that person.

The chase ended after Brown turned onto East Rosebud Road and began traveling south on SR501, where he came to a stop and was taken into custody.

He's now facing charges for felony fleeing or attempting to elude police as well as many other traffic violations.
