Lancaster County man sentenced to up to 10 years for beating, threatening to kill woman

Zackery J. Zerbe is to serve 3 - 10 years in prison for severely beating and threatening to kill a woman in 2016 while holding a gun to her head, according to the DA's office.

The DA says that during the attack, Zerbe punched and strangled the woman, and that they presented evidence that her injuries were nearly fatal.

According to the DA's office, Zerbe says he wishes he had “handled things differently" and would like to change his life.

The victim testified during trail and was present at the courtroom gallery for sentencing, according to the DA.

The DA says Zerbe was sentenced on Monday for the assault that occurred November 11, 2016 in the 200 block of New Street.
