West Perry SD student charged with terroristic threats after making "kill list"
ELLIOTTSBURG, PA —
A 14-year-old student in the West Perry School District has been charged with 34 counts each of terroristic threats and harassment.
State police in Newport began their investigation on November 16, 2017, after the student used a school computer to compile a list threatening other individuals in school.
According to State police, the investigation found the male student did not take action to carry out the threats against the students on the list.
The Perry County District Attorney's Office notified the individuals on the list that they were subject to terroristic threats before court proceedings began.
Law enforcement evaluated the juvenile to determine if he was a danger to himself or others. Their investigation determined there was no "immediate or imminent danger."
Police understand that the school took disciplinary action against the student.
