Friends and family remember Carlisle musician murdered in Nashville

Kyle Yorlets is being remembered tonight in his hometown of Carlisle.

The musician was murdered outside of his home in Nashville, Tennessee.

Five juveniles are accused of killing Yorlets.

Tonight, CBS 21's Karina Cheung spoke to friends and family.

Friends and family use the word passionate to describe Kyle.

They can't believe he's gone.

"I honestly it doesn’t feel real. I can’t even really comprehend it."

Former band mate and high school friend, Izzy Turnage shocked by the news of his friend Kyle Yorlets' murder.

"I never met a more passionate person about music he always expressed to me how much music meant to him and he wanted to show the world his music.

His death rocking the Carlisle community.

"He was just so kind and generous. He'd give you the clothes off his back if you asked him," said Seth Lynch.

He met Kyle in high school. Music was everything to him.

"There is real meaning behind every song he ever wrote. Even in Carverton, Exist, whatever band he was in there was so much meaning behind everything he did.

Kyle's sister heartbroken.

"He had so many supporting him in the band and his career was really starting to kick off," explained Melissa Newley.

She's touched by everybody's kind words.

"Everybody’s sharing their stories about him and it’s just, it makes me know, to be reassured that he was just perfect. He really was, Kyle was perfect.

Chasing his dreams, a king soul, a talented singer, a friend to the end.

"He put us before himself, like every time. If it was family or friends even if he only knew you for a week like you came first, said Seth.

Caverton, the band he was in Nashville, put together a GoFundMe to help his family with funeral costs.
