Tunnel to Towers, a 9/11 non-profit organization, announced a $100,000 donation to assist the family of Deputy U.S. Marshal Christopher David Hill.

The foundation says that Deputy U.S. Marshal Hill's service in both the Army from 1993-96 and with the U.S. Marshals Service from 2006, makes it especially fitting that Tunnel to Towers assist his wife and two children.

Kim Weigand, the Director of the PA Chapter of C.O.P.S said, “I got notification in the morning and my heart dropped.”

“It just it breaks your heart cause you know what the department is going through, what the family is going through what they're going to go through, its heartbreaking,” said Weigand.

“Number one, thank the officers. If you see an officer, a simple thank you because they put these uniforms and go do their job and when they put the uniform on they have a target on their back,” said Weigand.

Frank Siller, the president of the Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation said, “If your husband or your wife go out and protect our streets and our neighborhoods and country, if something happens to them, we as Americans are going to take care of the family left behind.”

Thomas Carter, the Harrisburg Police Commissioner, said, “We're going to win the day, win the night, win the whole thing because we will not back down, we will not turn our backs, and we will drive away evil.”
