Donated 45-foot tree to be center piece at first annual 'Christmas at Italian Lake'
A 45-foot tree is off to Harrisburg for a new tradition. It'll be the center piece of the first annual Christmas at Italian Lake.
For Mark Everest, who is donating the tree from his land in Linglestown, the excitement is running high.
Everest is on the Bethesda Mission Board of Directors. He said, "I think it's fantastic because a lot of people never see these trees up here except neighbors and friends that come up for a tour. To showcase this beautiful tree at this event in my opinion is going to be fantastic."
Good's Tree and Lawn Care donated their time to cut down the tree, put it back up, and decorate it.
Christmas at Italian Lake is on Saturday, December 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and the tree light is slated for 5:00 p.m.
All of the proceeds benefit the Bethesda Mission.
