Celebrating National Milk Day at the Farm Show
HARRISBURG, DAUPHIN COUNTY —
It is National milk day! On this day In 1878 milk was delivered in those iconic glass milk bottles for the first time in the U.S.!
With more than six thousand farms across the commonwealth, Pennsylvania has the second most dairy farms of any state (Wisconsin has the most) and dairy pumps about 15 billion dollars into Pennsylvania’s economy.
There’s still time to stop by the 103rd Pennsylvania Farm show where you can get your hands on Pennsylvania preferred dairy and produce products.
While you’re at the farm show stop at the calving corner. So far 13 calves have been born this year and more are expected before the farm show ends on Saturday.
