Career fair aims to help workers find permanent employment
NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa —
It's that time of year when a lot of businesses are looking to hire people, but many are just looking for seasonal workers.
Today, an event at the Clarion Hotel and Conference center offered employers and people looking for long-term careers a chance to network.
Representatives were on hand at the Coast to Coast Career Fair to help with recruitment.
Chris Klein of York County said, "I'm looking for something more substantial, more career-oriented as opposed to seasonal work, where in a month or two you're back out looking."
James Baity of New York said, "We are not looking for seasonal work. We are looking for somebody who has energy - that go get it attitude."
Representative from about a dozen companies participated in today's career fair.
