Bitter cold in store for the week ahead

PolarVortex.PNG

GET READY FOR BITTER COLD THIS WEEK:

We're watching our NEXT WEATHER MAKER that will bring us a rain/snow to snow setup on Tuesday. Not a big storm, likely disruptive in nature...but enough to make for mainly wet roads and then becoming slick at nightfall.

But the BIG WEATHER STORY is the return of Arctic Air that begins to settle in mid-week. By Thursday afternoon our highs will only top out in the teens with overnight lows in the single digits to near zero ... and wind chills well below zero!! The bitter cold (short-lived) lasts through Friday then we see temps quickly rebound into the weekend.

Long term we see several blasts of cold air as we head into February, stay with us as we keep you our ahead of this wintry pattern!

Monday: Partly Cloudy, Seasonably Chilly - High 36

Monday Night: Increasing Clouds, Some Light Snow Late - Low 28

Tuesday: Cloudy, Periods of Wet Snow (Light Accumulations) - High 36
