UPDATE: Victims identified in fatal Adams County crash

A Friday night crash between two vehicles in Hamilton Township, Adams County has killed two people and sent one to the hospital.

According to State Police, a vehicle was traveling south at a high rate of speed on the Carlisle Pike around 9:00 pm, when the driver lost control.

The vehicle crossed into the northbound lane of Carlisle Pike and struck an oncoming vehicle.

The driver of the striking vehicle was killed in the crash. The driver was taken from the scene and later identified through dental records after an autopsy as 22-year-old Gretchen Gebhart, of Littlestown, P.a,

The passenger of the vehicle struck, a 55-year-old man identified as Wesley Griffis, of Gardners, Pa., was declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle, identified as Amy Tuckey, also of Gardners, Pa., was taken to York Hospital and remains in critical condition.
