2 men convicted for dog fighting in Harrisburg


Charles Baumgartner and Samuel Lindsay of Dauphin County were convicted of cruelty to animals and animal fighting stemming from a March, 2017 dog fighting incident in Harrisburg.

The incident was captured on video and posted on Facebook where the Harrisburg Animal Control Unit became aware of it.

The cruelty to animals charge carries a maximum penalty of seven years in prison and a $15,000 fine.

Baumgartner was also found guilty of simple assault for attacking the owner of the other dog involved in the incident.
