13 guns stolen from Palmyra gun shop, 2 people arrested

2 men were arrested for stealing 13 handguns from the Horseshoe Pike Gun Shop in Palmyra.

Fernando Rodriguez and Jorge Santiago face charges of burglary, criminal trespassing, theft and numerous other charges related to the incident.

Police responded to the burglary at 42 East Main Street just before midnight on Jan. 16.

The investigation revealed that three people broke into the store by throwing a cinder block through a window.

Less than an hour later police noticed Rodriguez and Santiago standing in the area of North Lincoln Street at East North Avenue.

Both had clothes on that matched the suspects in the surveillance video.

A police K9 was used to track the location of the handguns behind a residence on the 100 block of East Cherry Street.

An inventory was taken and it is believed that there are still guns missing.

The identity of the third suspect is not known at this time.
