Courtney Highfield joined CBS 21 in June of 2016 as a Multimedia Journalist. She comes to Harrisburg from Portland, Maine.
Courtney grew up right outside of Baltimore in a town called Catonsville. After high school she headed south to attend the University of Alabama. She graduated from UA in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Telecommunications and Film. While she was in college she reported and produced for a local TV station, WVUA.
After she graduated she headed further south to Albany, Georgia where she worked as a multimedia journalist, fill-in anchor, and producer for two years. While there she contributed to an award winning special, "Pursuing Good Health."
She left Georgia in 2014 and headed north to "Vacationland." She spent a year and a half at WGME in Portland as a multimedia journalist. Her most memorable story from Maine was team-coverage of the El Faro maritime disaster. She spent a week in Castine where four of the crew members went to school.
Courtney is excited to be close to home and to get to know the people of Central Pennsylvania. When she's not working she's exploring the world with her three-year-old Golden Retriever (Tucker) by her side. She also loves the Crimson Tide, the Ravens, and the Orioles.
