Al Gnoza has spent 14 years covering news in the Harrisburg area in a career that has taken him throughout Pennsylvania. This is his second stint at CBS 21.
Gnoza has an undergraduate and Master's degree from the University of Notre Dame and remains a big fan of Notre Dame sports. He began his TV career in Allentown, doing sports for WFMZ-TV. Al left to work for Dow Jones in financial print news before coming back to WFMZ to help start their morning news show in 1995.
Gnoza came to WHP-TV as a general assignment reporter in June of 1998 and soon picked up the additional duties of weekend weather anchor. Two and a half years later Al got an opportunity to do weather and news for CN8 TV in Philadelphia. Nearly four years later he returned to the Harrisburg area to do news for another establishment that shall remain nameless, before making his way across the street back to his Harrisburg home.
Al still loves spending time with his children, but now that they're teenagers, it's much tougher pinning them down!
You can now catch up with Al on CBS21 News This Morning Monday through Friday at 5 a.m.!
