Cumberland Valley grad drafted to the Tampa Bay Rays
A former Cumberland Valley baseball player is joining the big leagues.
Hunter Schryver was drafted in the seventh round, 199th overall, by the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday.
After Cumberland Valley Schryver went on to pitch for Villanova University, becoming one of the best pitchers in the school's history.
He says being drafted is something he's been working toward for a long time.
Schryver was a first-team "All Big-East" selection each of the last two seasons.
