York man arrested for trafficking women in prostitution
YORK, Pa -- Police say they have arrested Willie Johnson, 57 for his involvement with human trafficking.
The Northern York County Regional Police say they began investigating Johnson in June 2017 when an informant told them that Johnson had trafficked herself and other females in prostitution. According to police, the informant also told them that in return, Johnson would supply the women with lodging and heroin.
As stated by police, investigators also identified and received additional information from five other women that were trafficked by Johnson between 2014 and 2017.
Police say that Johnson was taken into custody on October 5.
Johnson is being held without bail at the York County Prison.
