York City SD approves re-opening of school as STEAM academy
The York City School District approved the re-opening of the Edgar Fahs Smith School as a STEAM academy.
It will reopen next year for grades three through eight and 300 students can enroll.
Over the next five years, the district will add one grade per year, so the academy will serve about 500 students up to 12th grade.
Class sizes will be a maximum of 25 kids. The STEAM program focuses on project-based learning and critical-thinking skills.
Enrollment applications are available now.
