Three Lancaster men are facing weapons and drug charges following an arrest Friday night.

On April 13, officers responded to a complaint of a group of men smoking marijuana and gambling outside of a house on the 1st block of S. Mary Street.

As the officers approached the group on foot they were able to smell a burnt marijuana odor.

Police say one of the men, Kieron Gant, 20, walked over to a parked car.

As he bent over, police say they heard a gun hit the ground.

One officer looked under the car and saw a .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun where Gant had been standing.

Police say they then conducted a pat down on Taireeque Gant, 18, who was walking behind the residence.

A 9mm semi-automatic handgun was found concealed in the waistband of Taireeque's pants, according to the report.

Police say that since Taireeque or Kieron are both under 21-years-old, neither is allowed to carry a concealed firearm.

A police search also found Taireeque to be in possession of marijuana and oxycodone pills.

A discarded backpack contained additional marijuana as well a .22 caliber ammunition that matched the firearm discarded by Kieron, according to police.

Another 16-year-old juvenile male was found to be possession of the marijuana found in the backpack.

All three individuals were arrested, and the guns, drugs and paraphernalia were seized.

Taireeque Gant was charged with person not to posses firearms, firearms not to be carried without a license, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, criminal conspiracy possession with intent to deliver, possession with intent to deliver oxycodone and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Keiron Gant was charged person not to posses firearms, firearms not to be carried without a license, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, criminal conspiracy possession with intent to deliver, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

An allegation was filed for the 16-year-old suspect before juvenile probation for possession with intent to deliver marijuana.
