Smart home built for local veteran

Volunteers joined together to put the finishing touches on a local veterans new home in Lebanon.

Corporal Timothy Donley lost both legs and an arm after an explosion in Afghanistan in 2012.

"This family has brought this together to help the people who have fought for us," said Craig Rhoade, project coordinatro for Silver Foundations.

On Thursday, the Home Depot and Tunnel to Towers Foundation partnered up to build a custom smart house for Donley.

He'll soon be able to live comfortably.

"Veteran outreach is one of our core values," said Paul Richey, manager of the Home Depot in Lebanon. "Coming out here to do a project for Tim, he's a veteran who was wounded in Afghanistan. Home Depot is supporting us with money to do the landscaping here at his property."

A home dedication is planned for June 8.
