Several crashes, traffic jams on area roads Tuesday morning
Crews throughout Central Pennsylvania are responding to several crashes on area roads and highways during the Tuesday morning commute.
Traffic is bumper to bumper in Dauphin County on Interstate 81 due to a multi-vehicle accident in the southbound lanes between Exit 67: US 22/US 322 West - Lewistown /State College and Exit 65: US 11/15 North and South - Marysville/Enola. All lanes were closed at one point, but they've since reopened. PennDOT is warning drivers to expect heavy delays.
There's also a multi-vehicle accident in York County. This one's on Interstate 83 northbound, just south of the PA Welcome Center. There is a lane restriction.
Meanwhile, crews in Lancaster County are cleaning up a multi-vehicle accident that happened on Route 30 West in East Lampeter Township. Icy road conditions are believed to be to blame.
