Route 11/15 to be reduced to one lane in Perry County due to collapsed wall

A highway restriction will be in place this afternoon in the Perdix Area of Perry County, so that PennDOT crews can install a concrete barrier where a masonry wall collapsed.

Route 11/15 will be reduced to a single lane with flaggers controlling the direction of traffic.

PennDOT maintenance crews are installing a concrete barrier along the northbound shoulder where a portion of a masonry wall collapsed this morning.

Officials say it is necessary to close the right northbound lane, in order to install the concrete barrier.

The single lane restriction will likely continue through afternoon rush hours and into the evening.

Motorists can use Route 22/322 across the Susquehanna River in Dauphin County as an alternate route .

PennDOT is currently in the process of putting together an emergency to repair the wall.
