Police are searching for a white truck which was involved in a multi-vehicle accident and then fled the scene.

On Wednesday, shortly before noon, a chain reaction crash involving four vehicles left three people injured.

Police say that three vehicles were stopped going eastbound on SR 116 as one of the vehicles was waiting to make a legal left turn onto Jacobs Mill Road, when a large box truck did not stop and ran into the back of the last stopped car.

This caused that car to go into the car in front of it and then that one to go into the other stopped car, according to police.

Police say that all the vehicles had substantial damage and three of the seven people involved were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the truck, Arthur Stanley III, ran on foot after the impact, according to police.

Police say that Stanley, 29 of Hanover, was chased by two witnesses but they were unable to locate him.

Anyone with information about Stanley is asked to call 717.225.1333 ext 100.
