Mother who allowed her child to live in feces filled home sentenced to six months
Lakeshia McElroy was sentenced to six to twenty-three months for endangering the welfare of child on Wednesday.
McElroy was charged in February after police responded to reports of a man threatening to harm her child found the home covered in feces and filth, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Police say they discovered dog feces covering the floor along with trash, garbage and old food in the living areas. A further search of the home revealed the child's crib, changing table and playpen were also covered in feces, according to police.
McElroy will be on probation for 36 months after her time in Franklin Count Jail.
