Juvenile lifer admits to killing brother in 1998 murder

York County District Attorney's Office confirms that Zachary Witman admitted to killing his brother nearly 20 years ago.

Witman was 15 years old when he stabbed his 13-year-old brother Gregory more than 60 times on Oct. 2, 1998.

In 2003, Witman was convicted and sentence to life in prison without parole.

However, since the U.S. Supreme Court ruled life sentences without parole for juveniles as unconstitutional, Witman's case was under review for re-sentencing.

The District Attorney's Office confirms that Witman has now been sentenced to 15 to 40 years in prison in exchange for his guilty plea.

He will be eligible for parole in January 2019.
