Heads up | Severe thunderstorm warning in effect for Perry County
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Perry County until 9:45 P.M.
As always strong to severe storms may bring the threat for heavy rainfall and localized flooding in poor drainage zones. You can see the heaviest rain is forecasted north of the Turnpike. Remember to avoid the roads during a thunderstorm. Storms can greatly reduce visibility making driving difficult plus making it difficult to see ponding on the roadways.
Showers and storms will be likely during the afternoon Saturday as the cool front finally swings through. Showers and storms should be done between 6 and 7 pm Saturday.
High pressure builds in Sunday delivering lots of sun and lower humidity with highs in the low 80s.
