Hershey community celebrates Milton Hershey's birthday

The Hershey community is remembering Milton Hershey on what would have been his 159th birthday.

On Wednesday night at the Chocolate Town Square Park they will be holding a birthday celebration.

The concert will feature music from Hershey's era and it will conclude with a sweet treat for all attendees. Organizers will also be on hand to talk about Milton Hershey's legacy.

"The main importance of the legacy is in Milton Hershey school. Over 10,000 kids have been given the gift of education which is so important," explained Dana McGlone with Hershey Entertainment. "He was so dead set on not being his legacy and it has carried on for 160 years."

The hour long event is open to the public and starts at 6:30 p.m.
