Flood watch extended until Monday afternoon in York and Lancaster

There is a flood watch in effect until Monday afternoon in York and Lancaster County.
Officials main concern is river ice being pushed ashore, some spots along the Susquehanna river have already seen ice climbing the banks threatening homes and businesses.
Depending on how warm it gets there is also a concern of floods along the banks of the Susquehanna and its tributaries.
The ice push is an annual worry for residents along the river. Resident Don Laughery says this is the worst he has seen in years, "" The force is when the ice pushes then there's really nothing to stop it. It'll crusher house it will crush the foundation and like I said we knew we were OK but we came down just to see how her friends are doing and right now they seem to be OK."
The flood watch for York and Lancaster will remain in effect until Monday afternoon.
