Fire Lt. Dennis DeVoe laid to rest Saturday in York County

Mourners arrive to pay their respects to the late Lt. Dennis DeVoe

Fire Lieutenant Dennis DeVoe was laid to rest on Saturday.

DeVoe was killed in a car crash responding to a deadly fire in Harrisburg last week.

That fire claimed the lives of two children, Ashanti Hughes, 2, and Savannah Dominick, 10.

DeVoe's funeral services took place in York County this afternoon.

He is survived by his wife and four children.

I think everybody needs to understand that he was a true leader in the fire service and he was a true leader as a role model for fire service personnel for family life as well.

On Friday, hundreds gathered in Harrisburg for a memorial service to pay their respects.

DeVoe was with the Harrisburg Fire Department for 21 years.
