Hearing on college affordability takes place in Harrisburg
HARRISBURG, Pa —
The house government policy meeting held a hearing to discuss college adorability in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Monday, June 19, 2017.
The Keystone research center study said, Pennsylvania ranks 47th out of 50 states when it comes to funding higher education.
The commonwealth funding has dropped to between 20 and 25 percent.
Governor Wolf is proposing a 2 percent increase in state funding this year, but even if it is approved by the legislature it will only bring the state up to funding levels equal to 1999.
